The Problem of Pseudo-condyloma

Pseudo-condyloma is referring to male pearly penile papules and the female villous labia minora. It sometimes requires distinguishing from genital warts in clinic. What’s the difference between the pseudo-condyloma and genital warts? Their main differences are summarized as follows:

a)     Differences of The Scope of The Disease

Pearly penile papules and female pseudo-condyloma are a kind of benign hypoplasia of skin. In the normal population, 10% are suffering from this disease. In some special circumstances, there may be itching sense and smell. c)     Different therapeutic purposes

Both pearly penile papules and female pseudo-condyloma are without any discomfort and generally don’t require treatment. However, such highly infectious disease as genital wart, which is one of sexually transmitted diseases, must be treated, otherwise the consequences will be more serious. Clinically, pearly penile papules and female pseudo-condyloma may be misdiagnosed as genital warts easily and be worn the hat of sexually transmitted diseases, therefore, doctors must diagnose clearly. Patients should actively cooperate the treatment and sincerely answer doctors’ inquiries, should be designed to exclude the possibility of sexually transmitted diseases, sexually transmitted diseases also do not want missed.
