This little baby was expensive, but completely worth it. Used as directed (or even less often than directed, because I forget to do it), it clears up even the nastiest cold sores in just a few days. Amazing.

It SEEMS to work, June 27, 2010

This review is from: Dermaseptic Skin Care Remedy for Cold Sores, Warts, Herpes, & Fever Blisters (Health and Beauty)

When I started a new job, I began traveling a lot and seemed to get a cold sore every time I hit the road. Guess it was due to the stresses of traveling. I saw this in the in flight magazines every time I flew and decided to give it a try. Nothing worse than showing up at a business meeting with a big cold sore on the bottom lip!

After six months, I THINK that it works. Since I started using it, I have gotten far fewer cold sores and they are far less severe. I don’t really know if it’s the DermaSeptic because I still use the ice cube trick, Abreava, and Campho-Phenique.

Regarding the conducting gel that comes with this, I found that alcohol hand cleaning gel works just as well and I like the idea of it being an antiseptic. Also, the Campho-Phenique gel works, too, although I only use it on the part that touches my lip. On the side of the device, I use the cheaper hand cleaning gel.

So, I am pretty sure that it’s helping keep these cold sores at bay.
